Pastor Ernie Roy E. Wright Jr. is an ordained Seventh-day Adventist minister from the beautiful island of Jamaica. He is the son of the late Ernie Wright, former president of the West Jamaica Conference, and Lunnette Wright, founder of Savannah-la-Mar High School.

With more than 44 years of ministry, Pastor Wright has had the privilege of serving both in Jamaica and in the United States. He has also preached the gospel throughout Europe and across several Caribbean islands.

Pastor Wright holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from West Indies College (now Northern Caribbean University), a Master of Arts in Religion from Andrews University, and a Doctor of Divinity from Agape Bible College. Through God’s blessings on his ministry, thousands have been baptized.

In addition to his pastoral work, Pastor Wright is a gifted musician. He holds music certificates from Trinity College and the Royal School of Music in London. Music plays a dynamic role in his ministry, and he serves as a choir director, praise team leader, and composer. He also traveled to Scotland on tour with the Rutgers University Choir.

Pastor Wright has served as president of the Black Ministers Association of the Greater New York Conference and has served on several school boards, including Greater New York Academy. He has a strong passion for Christian education and has taught evangelism at the Greater New York Conference Bible Institute. He has also been a presenter at numerous forums on evangelism and leadership.

He is married to Cheryl (née Ming), a registered nurse, and they have been married for 41 years. They are the proud parents of two adult children, Garry and Kimberly, and the proud grandparents of Jelani and Charli.
